WELCOME TO NEXGEN COACHELLA
As a young person in school, I did not know what career I should pursue. I grew up in a small town of less than 10,000 people. My father did not complete high school. I had no idea of what kind of job I should look for. Fortunately, and almost by accident, I wound up in the real estate business involved in building homes. Fortunately, that turned out to be a career I enjoyed, and I did very well. But that was just a lucky break for me.
NexGen Coachella will provide our valley's next generation with the knowledge and help that will enable them to make a better choice about their future. Representatives from a dozen different companies will tell attendees what they do, how they can be paid, and what they can expect about their possibilities of working up to a career. Attendees will be able to ask questions and evaluate what kind of job interests them the most. And, importantly, each attendee will have a mentor to guide them. Mentors are experienced and successful career individuals who have had a lifetime of work and experience and they will assist attendees in making the best choice and then help them to get a job at a company that is in the field of their choice.

WHAT IS NEXGEN COACHELLA?

NexGen Coachella’s mission is to help young men and women from age 18 to 28 to not only find a job, but importantly, a job they will enjoy and provide them with the opportunity to earn the level of income needed to enjoy a great lifestyle.
NexGen Coachella is a program designed to help prepare young adults ages 18 - 26 to achieve life and career goals through exposure, education and mentorship. NexGen Coachella is for high school graduates, graduates with some college, and college degrees.

Our Vision
NEXGEN MENTORS

NexGen, mentors are successful and experienced in work who have a deep concern for helping young adults become successful in whatever field they choose. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and years of experience in life.
Mentors will guide the exploration process and be there for any concerns or help along the way. Mentors will also help with the application process and coach participants on work habits, ethics, goals, and career tracks. The mentors provide an invaluable source for the attendees. NEXGEN PRESENTERS

Presenters are experienced business owners, executives, and hiring managers from a variety of different occupations. Attendees will learn about, ask questions, receive feedback, and gain a greater understanding in order to determine if they want to pursue work in the careers presented over the course of the program. Presenters will tell their own personal story about their career journey. Presenters will share information about how to use opportunities to advance within their industry.
